Key: Additions Deletions
It was requested of me to explain a bit more of what I plan on doing. So here is what I will be adding here as I go.
I am planning on covering a bit more in depth explanation of things a newbie might want to know and things that are not covered in the strategy and tactics guides... mostly little things that make the game easier to play.
Of course having only been playing for 2 days, I still have a lot of unanswered questions and I am also aware that the "rules" for the game are in flux so that means things here have to be made to be adaptable.
What exactly well for instance a few things that I found frustrating on my first character is I didn't know how to do the Guardian thing... or how to use the material (can't remember the name) to upgrade an item... and or what what possible good it would be.
Another item I plan is a slightly different spin on SP Farming -- or basically SP Farming from the start rather than waiting until 10th level. A bit of mathematics for those not in a hurry to gain levels. I mean if you are acquiring XP and want to maximize SP then you need to approach it in a slightly different manner. For instance, do not do Quests that cause you to gain chunks of XP without gaining SP, when attacking monsters you need to maximize SP versus XP and most of the farming rules I've seen do not do this.
Oh and is there a place here that I can ask you specific questions on the how to and what nots of Last Chaos. I was going to email you but I do not see a way to do that.
NOTE from 5fingers: Yes, the 100% xp lock was changed to 50% xp lock so I have to changed some things in the STRATEGY GUIDE as well. Before the xp locks, you did quests to get xp. But with sp farming, you will have to look at quests a different way, but again I will have to rework this strategy out now someday, lol. Go ahead with your version of SP Farming now. Later I plan to put a section in the Directory as this is a big topic now. Then it willl simply be the same stuff from STRATEGY GUIDE. I find having more then one listing makes a topic more available.

1) SP Farming at Low Levels
A Character really starts the game at level 2 since by the time youryou are done with the introductory adventure that is your level. I will need to go through again and analyze the quests butand mostthe non-essentials quests that gain you XP (Experience Points gained for leveling) without SXP (Skill Experience Points) that are detrimentalimportant to SP Farming.
Next when SP Farming with less than a 100% SP Lock either because you do not belongwill tostart asp Guildfarming orwith the Guildmax canof only50% lock less then 100% ofon your XP (as is currently the rule with the max lock of 50%)xp, then the issue is not how much SXP you get but what the ratio is between XP and SXP. At low levels the best target is the Level 1 Fox. Not a ton of XP or SXPSXP, but the best ratio by far. I'll post the exact numbers later but preliminarily a Fox gets you about 50 SXP per XP gained. The next best is 25 SXP per XP gained. If you kill enough Foxes you will level but more importantly you will gain the most SXP possible. I generally farm Foxes until the character reaches 8th level. Yeah, yeah, I know at some point they are blue but I didn't say this method was fast I said it was optimal for Skill Points. Feel free to adjust to your own tastes, and perhaps as time goes by I can figure out a good balance between optimizing Skill Points versus Time spent. Now once I reach 8th level (with a Knight -- have not tested the other classes yet)
I go on the Personal Quest (Kill the Balrog) personal dungeons tend to get you a lot of SXP (about 5 SP per trip through) with good ratios after this the character is level 9 and its off to the Velpist Temple to attack Wandering Zombies. These are the best at this point that I've found and they get you about 10 SXP per XP gained. I farm Wandering Zombies until I'm level 17 (yes again the gain decreases but the ratio does not). From here its --- a bit up in the air. I'm investigating the Kill the Balrog Quest... I'm netting about 5 SP per trip through and the XP does not seem all that high and I get 3k gp and a MoonStone guaranteed (plus whatever gets dropped inside).
Note there are two side benefits to this method. First if you happen to have a pet you can pet train as you go since a Fox will never threaten your pet and while Wandering Zombies can be aggressive with careful farming you can use them rather effectively (I'll make another note on Pet Leveling while SP Farming a bit later). The second benefit is that you do not have to buy extra armor or weapons. Against Foxes your initial gear is sufficient then when you reach 8th level you purchase the Vatican set (or whatever the level 10 to 13 equivalent is) and that should sustain you until 17th level where you then upgrade to the Lioncub set (or whatever the level 20 to 22 equivalent is).
I'll post more on this as time permits investigation and updating
