Extreme Stones are the only guaranteed upgrade stone. They will always succeed to add +1 to a weapon or piece of armor. However, to balance the success, you can only use one Extreme Stone on a weapon and only one per armor piece. For this reason, most players use them to upgrade from a +9 to a +10, guaranteeing the success of a +10 item.

Acquisition of Extreme Stones
Unlike Smelting Stones,Stones, Extreme Stones cannot be made, nor are they a rare drop like Heaven Stones.Stones. You can buy Extreme Stones from other players, though they are incredibly high priced. You can also purchase Extreme Stones from the item mall using Aeria Points.

The only in-game way of acquiring an Extreme Stone for yourself is through the use of the Guardian System and reputation points. Becoming a guardian grants you ten reputation points for each successful apprentice that reaches level 20 in ten days. When you have accrued 200 reputation points, you can exchange them for an Extreme Stone from the Magical Shopkeeper in town. It is important to note that exchanging Reputation points for an Extreme Stone will deduct 200 Reputation from your character.

To exchange reputation points for an Extreme Stone, talk to the Magical Shopkeeper in town. Then select Option 3 "receive Extreme Stone"




You will then be asked, "Do you want to exchange an Extreme Stone?". Selecting "Yes" will remove 200 Reputation from your character and an Extreme Stone will be added to your character's inventory.

Using Extreme Stones to Upgrade Weapons or Armor
You use Extreme Stones in the same way you use any upgrade stones. Click on the Extreme Stone icon and drag it to the equipped item you wish to upgrade. You will be asked to confirm your decision, and the upgrade will take place with your confirmation.

Extreme Stones can only be used once per item. An item that has not had an Extreme Stone used will say "Able to use Extreme Stone". If an item has had an Extreme Stone used, this text will not appear on the item.
