Note: The bottom half is my personal opinion of a Game Sage now and mine alone. If a Game Sage does not like critiques whether good or bad, then I say they need to quit. lol
A game Sage for Last Chaos is a fellow player picked by the GMs to be a sort of information/traffic cop. They try to correct wrongs and clarify rules of the game when playing. Like if they see you wall hugging, they will ask you to move off wall, WHICH YOU MUST DO. If not, you get reported and possibly banned.
There are various jobs or duties that the GS may have. Like you may see some on the ShoutBox all the time. They handle all the mayhem at times. These are generally squared away at times. Then you have others that may read the forums and try to help people having problems with the game. Remember, the GS does not know everything now. But like a librarian, they know where to get the information. They are more aware of the rules that the lower players may not know. Example, you can not talk about a ban on the forum, and the GS will tell you so, and redirect you as to what to do.
A Game Sage will NEVER ask for your password or information, whether in game or forum. Some games break up Game Sages into specific roles, so please check that games forum to see which GS Handles what types of issues.
Game Sages have a direct messenger line to the Game Masters. Many things the [GM]'s wish to relay to the community they do so through the GS's. What the Shout Box GS is REALLY good for is when you have that RT (Routing Ticket) that has not been answered in two days, and they can get it handled by a GM now. That is one of the benefits of having a GS in the shout box now. I was supposed to get an item from the tier, sent in the RT that I did not get it. Then 2 days later, I got on the shout box, gave the GS my RT and about 2 hours later, presto, the stuff is in my inventory.
When you are told to do something by a GS, you must comply with the GS as they basically work for the company and the GM's, even though it is a voluntary position.
If you ever have a problem with a GameSage, whatever it is, do NOT openly confront them about it. Instead, use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the Aeria Website and send a Support Ticket to that games

A Personal Opinion by 5fingers
Some Sages I have run across are not too swift. Some know their stuff but as far as I am concerned they are not worth anything. This is my personal opinion now. There might be 2 or 3 that I would call Game Sages and the rest wannabees. Reason is, for all the incidents I have had with them, I wonder if they are not 13 year old kids. Like I was power leveling a guildie. The Game Sage was in the room just sitting and watching. Now the GS could have told me or the guildie to move off the wall. Nope, he called the GM. Then GMKrash told me to get the guildie off the wall and then 5 seconds later, he dced the guildie from the game. The GM did not even give me time to type a note. So I have had continuous bad, experiences with them.
Now there are a few GS that are good, ChemistryGeek on Sarissa is the rare one I like from the interaction I have had with her. They will NOT ask for password or ID of your account to award you $200 of ap or gold. LOL They are recognizable by the glow they can animate. So if a person says they are a GS, ask them to turn the glow on. If they make an excuse, then they are not a GS. Take a screenshot and report them. Again, they will help you but they will NOT ask you to give them a password so they can credit your account with items.
On Dec 30, 2011 is a "Classic" case of point. One of the GS in the shoutbox, was perturbed that I was talking about the Game Sages and she seemed to think that the remarks included her too. Then she makes a classic blunder. She tries to give an example of "That is like saying Mexicans that cross the river are all bad" (forgot, it was all bad or all illegal as i was laughing so hard). But when she said that I wish I would have taken a screen shot. I know she meant well. The GS is the shoutbox are all OK in my book. It was just the GS in the Game of Sarissa, the ones who i met from playing with. Those GS remarks were meant for them. Again, When a GS told me my section on Upgrading was superstitious, that was another GS wannabe. Like all groups, there are the good ones and bad ones. Again, this is for the Sarissa server. These remarks were really based on a year ago, and I have not seen the bad ones now. There is GS Cronos of Sarissa who is a cool GS. But again, no group of people is outside the law. That means, if I remark about a GS in Sarissa and you never have been a GS playing in Sarissa, get off the high horse. Of course, you can look at the other GS who changed this section and I changed it back. And like all people, instead of confronting me or pm me, they just change things. I believe in talking to people now. Then the GS who had a low level toon in my guild left too. Again, he only left cuz of this remarks. I never talked to the guy. Matter of fact, most players do not know who the GS are, me included. But again, I only associate with my guildies and help others here and there.
So again, if you are a GS reading this, you can add but NEVER delete my comments. This wiki, will have what other forums do not. NO deleting because you do not like the criticism. Certain forums if you criticize someone, they will delete your post. I know this for a fact. I did not mention which Forum now, lol It was not a Steam Forum either. But again, I say nothing, because that is the rules for that forum. They do not like criticism. In this forum, you can put your personal opinion now. Whew, got to go, enough bashing for a day.
Wait till i find that post of what a GS said about the others, I got it here somewhere. I will post it at the end of this when I can find it. That is really sure to diss some people off. Of course, I will lock this page so they can not CHANGE it, lol. And of course, a few hours later, the post was deleted by not before i got a screen shot of it.
