Ichi Pet Quest Walk-Through

NOTE: It is cheaper to buy the pet, then go thru the qeusts. Reason is the Dragon brain and heart are VERY hard to get now. ANd if they are available cost more then just buying a pet.

1) Acquire the Torn Book of Life Chapter 2 that can be dropped by killing monsters.

2) Take the Torn Book to Lorraine in Randol to begin the pet quest.

3) Lorraine will tell you to take the Torn Book of Life Chapter 2 to the Book of Life NPC in the Belfist Temple

4) Once you have handed the book to the Book of Life NPC, you will be given the first official task for the Ichi Quest.

5) The quest will ask you to talk to a NPC named the Avaricious Magician when reading the quest. Go back to Randol as that is where the NPC is located. Look for a NPC just named Magician. Once outside the Velpist Temple, use your Juno NPC scroll and teleport to the Magician.

6) Talk to the Avaricious Magician where you will be given the quest of gathering 14 fox tails and 17 Horn Beast Eyes.

These items can be obtained by killing the Foxes and Horn Beasts lurking outside in Juno. To get the items to drop, kill any of the monsters listed below:

Fox Tails: foxes level 1, Clever Fox of Desert level 26 and Silver Fox level 33
Horn Beast Eyes: horn beast level 16 and level 24

7) After gathering the items, you will need to head to Merac and talk to the Broken Moonstone Golem near a cemetery. There you will hand the items you have gathered and another quest will be assigned. Just go up the hill to the NPC traders. Then as you face them, to your left, go about 50 feet and their is an open path to the Golem.
The Broken Moonstone Golem will tell you to talk to the Great Magician Minearm nearby in Merac. Talk to the Magician where your quest is to give him 3 Perfect Moonstones

When you get to Merac, go up the hills where the NPCs are. Then go about 40 feet to the left of them and you will see a path to the Golem.

9) Once you have gathered the required Perfect Moonstones (they look purple), give them to the Great Magician Minearm where he will have a second quest for you.. He will ask you to gather up 100 cotton cloths before you can proceed further in the Pet Quest.

Go to the Master of Processing in Juno and make the cotton cloths there, Just click on him and you should be able to figure out what to do.

10) Take the 100 Cotton Cloths to the Spirit Magician Heras who can be found in Egeha. Once there, you will be given the quest of looking for a rare Dragon Heart and Dragon Brain.
NOTE: There are two ways to get the Dragon Parts.
1. You acquire level 1 drakes or horses, and sacrafice them to the pet trainer. Considering that you would have the mass eggs and flutes to do this. You would need I guess about 8 hours a day and maybe 6 months to get the parts if you are LUCKY to do so.
2, Then you could possibly buy them from someone if they were available. But they might cost more then actually buying the pet itself now.

11) After gathering a Dragon Brain and Heart, give them to the Spirit Magician Heras and he will give you the one more quest. He will ask you to collect 10 Master Coins.

12) Once you have completed Spirit Magician Hera’s quest, you will be given the final item. Head back to the Velfist Temple, where you will need to turn it in to the Book of Life NPC to finish the Ichi Pet Quest. This is the last piece to the Ichi Pet Quest where you will finally get Ichi after all that hard work.

When the Itchi and Scratchi pets came out, these quests were easy to do. They sold the dragon and horse parts for the pets now. I think it ran about $20, US dollars to buy the set of parts for either quest. I know because i bought the parts for a scratchi now.
