Leveling Strategy
by Kiariss. Edited by 5fingers
Ok, first, make your character. Second, before even taking a step into your first battle, go to your status page and hit "auto party" this will give you a selection of three choices, pick the third. Now click on a party that has the word "SOLO" On it's description, remember this technique as I will refer to it often.
Now that you are in a solo party, (a party where you receive maximum xp and sp without anyone being near you), you now take your first step into the dungeon. Once the first Zombies pop up, give them a taste of your First Level General Skill - Knights have knuckle spear, rogues have tumble cleave, healers have shining arrow, titans have power magnum, mages have energy cluster, and sorcerers should have fire strike. There's no need for any walk through here, just destroy the undead, pick up the items, and get out of there. (If you're lucky, they just may give you an extra hand, lol)
Once you are out of the dungeon, you should run out the north exit of the town and start giving the hurt on the wolvesl (Most people say you shouldn't do this, but we have special skills don't we?) Now, Every time a mob (monster) turns white, start attacking them instead. Once you hit level 5, go to your designated trainer and evenly distribute any you have over any of the skills you currently have. Don't ever get personal dungeon skills at all, these are a waste of sp, as are harvesting skills. Also, buy any armor and/or weapon that you can use now, updating your armor is just as important as updating your level. See this for weapon levels, prices, and stats, and see this for armor levels, prices, and stats.
Now, go back to killing Berserk Wolves until you're level 6-7. All throughout this entire guide you should always be in a solo party.. Once you're level 8, go to the Jaguars. At Level 10, go to the Velpist Temple and start hitting the zombies there. Killing the monster as the same level as you will get you 3300 sp. So this way you can level and get better sp then trying to kill a mob outside the temple. You can decide to level and sp here or try out the Prokion Temple as stated below.
Now this next step depends on what your armor and weapons + is. You could go to the Prokion Temple in Dratan and start off with the lowest level mob at the entrance there. You would get good xp cuz they will be red name. Now when the mob there gets to the same level as you, you will be getting 5500 sp there. Once reason you try this at level 10, because if you die, you do not lose xp or sp. This way, if you happen to have some bad azz armor, you can stay here instead at the Prokion Temple. But again, depends on what kind of armor and weapons you have.
Before doing this however, you should buy a couple of Scrolls of Memorization so you don't have to walk to the Prokion Temple all the time. Also buy some Recall Scrolls, so if you ever get lost or just want to go to the entrance faster, you can use the scroll. You can either get an escort, or you can carefully move yourself to the Prokion Temple. The easiest way to do this is to go to the east exit of Dratan, and run to the edge of the map, and move south. I don't recommend this.
Least you forget, but once you get in the 20's Level, you should sp at the Prokion Temple now. Try to get in a Level 6 Guild or above. This way you can sp farm here. The 5500 sp is 5 times what you would earn outside killing a monster. This way if you can save your sp, then you can just power level from here, knowing that you have the sp saved up for your future skills. Most people will level and then end up sp farming at the higher level where 1100 sp per kill will be mighty slow. So if you spend the time here getting the sp, you will level faster later as you will not have to sp farm too much. Just again, a matter of what you want to do.
Now that I've got your attention, then once you have your sp, level up to level 33 before moving onto the next mob, the Pilferer! The reason I chose the Pilferer is because it drops weapons for all but the mage and sorcerer. However, if you are a sorcerer or a mage, you should train on Berserkers because they give you weapons for your class. Train on these until level 36, when you can start attacking Gnolls. Fight these until level 39 when you can fight Gnoll Lancers, then continue onto Highlanders until you are level 45. Now kill Beast Scythes in Maargadum Jail until level 47 when you can kill Death mask Soldiers until level 50.
Congrats, if you have finished leveling this high, give your self a cookie, if you've done nothing but read this, you don't get a cookie until you finish this...
NOTE by 5fingers - Strategy changes now. When you sp farm, I suggest to get ALL your skills maxed, general, passive, and special. That is one way to bank sp for future use now. Besides, if you max the dungeon skill, it is fun to go there when you need a break from the boring grinding of sp farming. Then if you can beat the score on level 4 dungeon are so nice prizes. But then if you do not like HS, well I guess the dungeon is not for you. lol
The lowest level in the Velpist Temple is level 10 mummy. Now you do not have to be level 10 to start killing them. If you got good +3 armor and weapon, you can try to go there at level 6. Remember each time you level, to look at the map for any quests that you may have. Do the quests to get playing experience and also to make some gold. These quests are important now, cuz a few give you FREE skills to get mining stones, cutting herbs, or collectiing energy. Then if you do not do them and you get a pet, then you must be rich to buy your overpriced herbs from someone as you can not cut herbs if you failed to get the cutting herb skill.
