NOTE: July 2010 Well, Aeria finally did it. They lowered the xp on the mobs to slow all you guys down from leveling. If you see one of the July 2010 patches, they raised the xp of the commanders. Well I got lucky and got out when I did. Now the trick is to go to other mobs and find out which have better xp now. So the xp for all mobs in this wiki are not up-to-date. So as always "Be Flexible." The following notes now are such that commanders have a high xp. Also, their is the xp event every 3 hours, so xp with the Commanders might be good. Some reported that the 50% and PBI were stacked. Again, this is not verified by me yet. But in the process of getting a mid level toon to check it out.
As I am level 113, and the last level before the commanders turn into a blue name. I decided to write this piece to help others level faster and avoid the pitfalls like I did. Remember as always, that BE FLEXIBLE. For the Month of April, the rules of the combat party changed every week. Example, this week I could only join within 10 levels, whereas last week I joined someone from 11 levels. So stay sharp and be ready for changes, if need be. Just noted too. At level 118 was the level I changed to Sorcerers in the Spirit Cave. I just got slightly a little more xp now. If I had some advice, I should have stayed one more level at the commanders. Sorcerers are a lot more tough to kill and at level 119, at least at the commanders, I would not really have died like I did at the Sorcerers.
NOTE: Save your Defense and Attack potions/Minerals for using at the Commanders. Then save your level 12 Magic Defense Minerals as you will be using these extensively at the Sorcerers when you finish with the Commanders. You Start early enough, so you will have a big supply to get there. Also, save your candies preferably for the sorcerers too. Remember, be flexible. Go to Ebony cave and level on the mobs there too.
Entrance to the TombAt the Entrance is . If you click on him, you can ENTER or check the CONDITION OF THE TOMB. Basically, just think of the line as a gas gauge. When it is full, that is good for you. When it gets lower that is bad for you. When the line goes down, you can hit less damage and the mobs hit for more damage.
The entrance fee and the condition of the Tomb, is set by the owner of the Tomb. When I was level 90 TK, and the line was all the way down, i dare not enter. But then at level 112, it did not matter too much. My defense was high enough and I hit for about 30% less. But I was alone and leveling.
Entering the Tomb
When you enter and follow the passageway down, you will encounter a room full of Screaming Zombies. If you notice, the Zombies stay in the room. What you do, is to lure one into the long, hallway to fight. Others may be around, but if you lure the Zombie, the Zombie will aggro on you. Then beware as if your hit points go down you can either retreat or hug the wall. Remember, when your hp gets LOW, try to retreat early enough before all your hit points are gone. Also, if you find the Zombie is hurting you badly, then when he first hits you, click a large heal potion AHEAD of time. Most people wait, till they are half way down on hit points before they click the hp potion. Do this ahead of time.
The trick is if you had READ this guide and SAVED your xpb and maybe bought some PBIs on the way, you can level really fast on the Zombies. At L49, TK, with max armor, pots, and weapon, I killed four zombies to level. What a day!! This is the only quirk in the game, where you can level really fast. I find most people will use the xpb on the mobs after they leave the Prokion Temple, but there is NO MOB outside the Tomb, where you can level this fast.
Starting at the Entrance - Again, check the xp now. All xp values have changed.
Level 108 Anubis Occutist - Watch it with them. They debuff. DEBUFF means that if you have a shield buff it is gone, so BEWARE. They are not aggro, so easy to avoid.
Level 107 Anubis Archer - Make sure you have plenty of Potions of Escape Potions. THese are aggro
Level 106 Anubis Spear Man - Aggro
Level 105 Anubis Attacker - Aggro
Level 104 Sphinx Fighter - Aggro
Now I preferred to fight the above, then fight the mummies with the bleeding buffs and stuff. My armor was not that hot at times so these were better. But again, it is what YOU feel like doing now. Remember these are guidelines or suggestions of what I did and to give you food for thought on what you might want to do.
Leveling on L 109 CommandersWhen you get high enough to start leveling on the Commanders, this will be the highest mob in the Tomb.
To get to the commanders is easy. Just follow the hallway down and always keep the wall to your right and you will run right into them. Make sure you have like 100 potions of escape when you first go there. The reason for the number 100, because at times I would wait till I was low to refill. Oops, I forgot again. So I just kept it at 100 and not wait till it got down to 10 potions.
The reason for the potions of escape, is the Archers will hit you with Dark Arrow as you run to the Commanders location. If you look at the top right, you will see the Dark Arrow Icon. Just move the help icon, that is there, just drag it to the left a little. Once you make the trip a couple of times, It is easy to get there.
As always, try to get in a combat party. If not then a solo party. When I reached L112, I found that I was now getting 159 mill and needed a combat party. The combat party still gave me from 245 mill to 307 mill. I found that when my solo party was 265 mill that in a combat it never went lower then that. So too with the level 113 solo party, some of the scores were around the 250 mill mark from those that I noticed. But again, it was a lot faster to level with a combat party.
At level 113 and level 114, the Commander is still green. At level 113, in a solo party, I was getting at .11%, then at level 114 I was getting .09%. So i shall be off to see what i can level on. I tried the sorcerers, like someone said, but they were on .02. I will have to look in the guide and try the mobs above the Commander. But suffice to say, leveling on the Commanders is still good. The trick is you MUST have a combat party.
At the main commander spot (at the end of the stairs, on the other side) are 3 spots with 2 commanders for each spot. There is one spot by the stairs and then the other 2 spots are on the other side of the wall. Then when the big monster is, Darkmind Terrain, you can go down that hallway and there is the Commander;s Room with about 12 commanders there. Depends on the patch, I figure as for the total in there. Just take note that every server may not have the same number of mobs. Again, when i was sp farming in the Prokion Temple, one server would have more of a mob in certain places then the other server.
You will find the Greedy obnoxious people who may come and PK you to take over the spot. Hea, it is legal now. What i did one time was kept on coming back and back again. Remember , if someone PKs you and kill you, you do not lose xp or sp. Then when you resurrect or rez again, the person will still have the skull and crossbones on him and again, attack him. You will lose nothing. That is why i always had a lot of sp or xp scrolls, so i could resurrect on the spot, versus the beginning of the Tomb. Yea, some people think they own the game. Like I told one jerk. Come to my world in real life and you would never PK anyone again. LOL Most I find are kids that play for a week and think they own the game. But just get on a non PvP server.
Making Level 114 and what's nextThis is the stats for the following mobs. Remember, with xpb and pbi, you get .09% with Commander, so you can figure out rest. Now with xpb and PBI, just multiply by 4 and you can see the difference.
This is stats at level 109, OR when in equal parties. After level 109, the xp points eventually get lower. Even when commanders turned blue, I was getting better xp then at the sorcs now. These mobs reflect stats when i was at the same level now.

Now depending on your class, armor, and weapon, you will find after a while that the Commander's Room is where you want to level at. How do you know? When you can kill 2 commanders and the first one has not spawned yet, then time to go to the commanders' room. I got to the point where i could kill 4 of them and the first one had not spawned yet. Then at level 117, I needed the whole room because I was able to kill fast enough. It is a courtesy to ask someone, if they are in the room if you can share. If a person is running on potions and is high level, it is frustrating to wait for a commander to spawn because someone else is in there killing too. Hopefully, when others come they will ask now.
At level 118, I left the Commanders, finally, and started leveling on the Sorcerers in the Spirit Cave. Where are they located?? Again, when you enter Spirit Cave in Strayana, just keep the wall to your right and you will get to them. The first big room in the cave will have Sorcerers and then on the other side, far right side is a tunnel, that leads to another big cave room with more sorcerers. I started out at the tunnel leveling on the sorcerers there.
I started on Level 118 to fight the sorcerers, only because the xp was just a few million higher. If the sorcerers are still a pain or hard for you, it would not be that much different to say level again at the commanders. There will be no great loss of xp now. One bad thing is that the commanders are blue and your pet will not level. BUT at the commanders at this level you will not easily die either. Then at level 119 check the xp out for the commanders and check the xp out at the sorcerers. You have to decide what to do. Again, if the sorcerers are not too hard go with them. Remember, You will come to the big cave with the Rogues and Sorcerers in them. At the far right in the back is the tunnel leading to the big room with the Sorcerers and one roving rogue. At low level stay in the tunnel till you get good enough and high enough to fight 3 sorcerers now.
If you level on the sorcerers change your pet's skills. Set the Pet Skill - magic defense to maximum now. Then whatever points you have you might use then on offensive now. You will be needing lots of level 12 magic defense scrolls and candies too. Now do not CHAT with people as you will find out. You have to be on your toes here. One main reason, cuz when you start lagging, your HP stealers do not work, but yet the sorcs are still pounding away on you now.
Having lots of Large healing pots and candy will help also. At first, I was fighting the sorcerers in the tunnel. This way I never had more then 2-3 on me. Then i just waited for them to respawn. Now later on, you can go to the back tunnel, and kill away. At times I will have 8 sorcerers on me and as long as i do not have lag, I can survive. Just remember, when the game starts lagging, you should try to fight one at a time, if possible.
Remember, when you first start out with the sorcerers to start the Large Healing Potion ahead of time. Most people wait till they are half way down with hits to start the heal potions. The healing potions are cheap now so use them aggressively. If you get a gaming keyboard, then pm me and I will tell you some great tips on what to do. That type is keyboard is great for a knight as it can do all your buffs, feed your pet, pick up drops, and equip your xpb. Look Ma, one finger. If you do buy one, you just need a cheap one. Those with the little lcd screen to me are just gimmicks and really more for other games too.
If you can get in a combat party when you fight the sorcerers. At about Level 130 or so, i needed the whole back room to level for myself. If you get in there and another person is there, then you will find yourself waiting for respawn now. But if you do it once though, then the next time, You know to get a room for yourself now.
How to Level on Commanders
There are a few ways to level on the Commanders. REMEMBER, xp discussed below, is if you have xpb and pbi on now. Remember each patch brings unforeseen changes so be flexible now. If you do not have the xpb and pbi to use, then it will take a little longer now. You can make 4 characters now. I use the other 3 to store all my armor and stuff I collected on the way. At level 115, I shopped and sold in merchant mode for a whole month to raise money. It will start around 1.5 billion a level for the xpb, pbi, and other ap items I bought from others to level. I am a lazy guy. With xpb, pbi, and other pots, I figured I was leveling in one week, that might take me 5 weeks without the pots and stuff. So I made enough for two levels or 10 weeks of regular leveling. Then after I started leveling, I continued to sell and buy xpb because for some reason the prices dropped to as low as 1 million gold each.
1. Getting in a Combat Party is the best way, but the hardest as you will find out. Sometimes hard to get someone within the 10 levels required for a combat party. But you can party with someone there. Then you can always have someone get in a combat party with you and stay in the radar, by whatever means. Just remember to know who the GS are. If they see you wall hugging they will ask the person to get off the wall. Actually, the one time I was in a party, a GS came by. I think someone did not like the person, because only that person was targeted hugging the wall. As long as i had played there, no one ever came to get anyone off the wall. But the GS said they had a complaint about wall hugging. So it can happen, but in the months there leveling that was the only incident of a GS coming by while I leveled on the commanders and that was a LOOONNG time leveling there too.
Some other tips. If you get someone to be in your combat party so you can get the combat points, and if they have a It-chi or Scrat-chi, tell them to have it out. While you are fighting and every kill you make will level these pets. These pets get their leveling from mob kills like you level the same way. Also, with the new bear pets, they can level them too, as they level like you do on kills. Make them most of it now.
If it is possible, get more people in the combat party. As you know, the more people in the combat party, the higher level of xp you can get. This is an example, with the xp points made up now but to show you the point. If you have 2 people in the combat party, then the highest xp you may get from a Commander (with xpb and pbi now) may be 251 mill. The xp will go up and down but the highest is 251 mill. With 6 people in party, the xp may get like 312xp for a kill. Never been in a 8 man party but it would be higher.
2. You get in a Equal Solo party and below level 109, the points were 241 mill xp (The same xp for the Sorcerers in equal party too). This is constant now. And again not too bad. Once, you pass level 109, your xp points will start dropping. Example, is at L109 you got 12% a kill, then at L110 it may be 11% a kill, and each level the % goes down. But here is the catch 22. Your % may go down, but you are killing faster, therefore your total % for the hour goes up. So again, look at what you make an hour, not the % per kill.
3. Here is my favorite way. There is no ban on power leveling now. If there were, then no people would be playing LC. But there is a trick to this. PROBLEM is that you must have ap or means to buy a recall scroll or Summon Books from the Item Mall.
What you do is to power level people from level 30 on down. You start Power leveling higher, then your xp starts to drop too.
First, find a person to power level and get them in a equal party. Then you go to the Commanders and find a spot IF you can. Some days, there is no spots and you have to go to another server. Once you find a spot to play, you go ahead and take it. When you play, you may see other players hugging the wall now. So look around and see a good spot to teleport your player to that a mob will not hit them. Before you teleport your player, tell them ahead of time NOT TO MOVE or HELP YOU. Yea, you will see newbies try to help you, lol. And some are curious and want to look around. If you have a recall, if they die you will have to stop and recall them back. Tell them this, and that if they move and die you will not recall them back now. There are some spots where you can put them away from the wall, but I will have to try to put a map here to show you where. But you can do some exploring and find them yourself now.
If you find a spot in the Commander's Room, that is the best. When you enter the room, take a RIGHT, and the 2d section down is the space where no Commanders spawn. So you can put a person in this space now. Now once or twice a month, for some unknown reason, a Commander would stray by. I told the people to stay in the middle close to the edge. That is between the wall and the edge to the lower room. As this way, you are not wall hugging and no one can say anything. Yes, once in a while a GS might come down there to level. You just have to learn who they are too. I did. Tell the person that if they move too close to a commander and the Commander will AGGRO on them. Tell the healers not to HELP with healing as this will cause the Commanders to attack them. Again, tell the people that ahead of time.
This method will give you combat points now while you are power leveling a person now. Also, watch it because some people want to power level to 20 then back to solo party now. FYI, it takes about 2 hours with person using pbi for you to level them to level 31 now, so they can get new armor and weapons. But again, getting the level 30x armor and L33 weapon is an event and no telling when they will eventually close it. But 6 months later, and seems to be a permanent thing now. But nice way to attract people too, I think.
4. Now I was told by someone else (a voracious donut licker), that the mobs in the tower would bring higher xp and easier to kill then in the tomb. Unfortunately, I skipped the Eghea Tower (Lustrum Tower), the reason being is that there was NO WAY, that a L49 TK could survive the first level. I was higher up in Caraie and barely managed to kill on the first level but I was way higher up too. But again, every patch brings new things out that are never published and I am always open to ideas or the changes that may occur. Again, this is hearsay or rumor. If you do get higher xp let me know now.
GOING TO THE SORCERERS TO LEVEL
At Level 118, you may decide to go to the sorcerers as they are a few million more xp points now. Remember they are harder then the Commanders. So if you go there and get killed, then level at the Commanders at another level.
Getting to the Sorcerers
You have to go to Strayana and teleport to Spirit Cave. Buff yourself with your mount, then once inside buff your self with any physical and magical defense buffs and potions you have. It is easy to get to the sorcs. Like the commanders, you will follow the wall and ALWAYS keep it on the right side of you.
Once you get to the spot, there is a large room with Rogues and Sorcerers. On the far right of the big cave is a tunnel leading to another large cave with mostly Sorcerers and one roving rogue. If you are new, then suggest to stay in the tunnel and fight the sorcerers there. This will give you experience. They are magical offense so you will need all the magical defense potions you can get. A lot of Large Heal potions too and Candy. What is good about candy and that you can use a Large Heal Potion and candy at the same time now.
NOTE: At Level 135, I finally got the Royal Knight Offence Posture Skill book. At level 122, it is available. What i learned was this. At the Level 3 skill, I could have 40% more offense power added with the buff. So at L122 is 20%, L124 is 30% and L126 is 40%. So I have been playing 11 levels in which I could have had an additional 40% more offense.
Theoretically, let us look at some numbers. It takes say about 8 hours per level. That is 88 hours of playing time. Now with the 40% added, that would bring it down to about 60 hours or so. So, that is 28 hours extra I played because I did not have this skill. So when I play for one hour now with the L3 skill, is like playing 1 hour and 40 minutes the OLD way without the skill. See the difference. So for whatever class you have, RESEARCH your skills around 120 or so and look for the skill that will increase your power. Remember the power of say 20 is saying 20%. Then sacrifice what you can to get this book even though some are at exorbitant prices.
Now I am at level 137 and the the sp and xp really have gone done with the sorcerers. I found that going to the L137 Peugues (something like that) and they are located after you get to the L133 Alma. The xp and sp I got were higher then the sorcerers of course, and the sp was doubled and I got about 50% more xp. And the best note, is that with my +16 armor, using prs, even with lag I can not die.
And the drops are not too bad. After my 2d hour there I got a Level 127 mage cast helmet b5 eva and a healer b4 eva shirt,.
Watch it with the xp you get on sorcerers now at level 135. You will get less and less with each level. At level 137, I was getting about 103 mill, but if I was in a combat party it was like 153 mill now. So if you do solo, you are using about 30% more xp then if you leveled say the the L137 Peuriki or even better the L140 Illit. The L140 gives a little more xp. This depends on factors such as time and the money you want to spend or save. I will now level at the L140 Illit as I got the time and to save money on xpb.
