Equipping armor is simple. First, you need to know what level armors you can equip. You can equip armor five levels above the level of your character. For instance, if you are a Level 17 you can equip armors up to Level 22. If you equip armor higher than five levels above your character level, you will suffer a penalty to your defense. Now the stats may show you have higher defense but you have an "invisible" penalty. Go to a white named mob and find out. Hit him then switch to the higher level armor that says you have a defense penalty and you can see.

To equip a piece of armor, simply double click the armor pieces icon in your inventory. Alternately, you can click and drag the armor piece icon to the relevant armor slot. Double-clicking or clicking and dragging will unequip the current armor piece and equip the new one. If you want to bring up more information on a piece of armor, you can left-click the armor piece icon and hover the mouse over the selected armor. This will bring up the item tag which details all the information on the selected item.

Armor can be acquired in several ways. Armor can drop from mobs you kill, it can be purchased from armor merchants or other player, or it can be crafted using crafting skills and armor manuals and bought from the Traders in Randol . Armor acquisition is as follows:

1	Starter armor - only available through creating a new character
5-24	Available through armor merchants in Randol, Dratan, or Merac, or through drops
25-37	Available through armor merchants in Dratan, or Merac, Eghea, Strayana, manuals, or through drops, and Traders
40+	Available through manuals or drops, merchant mode, or Traders, special eventsevents. Note L40 armor and weapons can be bought now in Mondshine at the Armor and Weapons traders there.
