Last Chaos Obtaining and Equipping Weapons

Equipping and using weapons is simple. First, you need to know what level of weapons you can equip. You can equip weapons up to four4 levels above the level of your character. For instance, if you are Level 17, you can equip up to a Level 21 weapon. If you equip a weapon higher than four levels above your character level you will suffer a penalty to your attacks. You may see the stats reflect an attack gain, but you do not have the increased attack. The penalty is invisible now.

To equip a weapon you wish to use, simply double-click the weapon icon in your inventory. Alternatively, you can click and drag the weapon icon to the weapon slot. Double clicking or clicking and dragging will un-equip the current weapon and equip a new one. If you want to bring up more information on a weapon, you can left-click the weapon icon and hover the pointer or cursor over the selected weapon. This will bring up the item tag which details all the information for a selected item.

Weapons can be acquired in several ways. They can drop from mobs you kill, you can purchase them from weapons merchants or other players, or they can be crafted using crafting skills and weapons manuals.

Weapon levels and acquisitions are as follows:
1 - Starter Weapon, only available through creating a new character
5, 9, 13, 17, 21 - Available through weapon merchants in Randol, Dratan, or Merac, or through drops
25, 29 - Available through weapon merchants in Randol, Dratan, or Merac, manuals, or through drops
33 - Available through weapon merchant in Eghea, Strayana, manuals, or drops, or buying from individuals.
37+ - Available through manuals or monster drops, or buying from individuals. From time to time weapon manuals are sold in the item mall.

Effects of Upgrading your weapon

Your weapon gets a different glow depending on your class, but here are the stages of upgrade levels where you get a glow:
+4 - small, shiny, white glow
+6 - different glow (for rogues-red, for knights-blue, healers-yellow)
+8 - stronger glow of +6
+10 - fist glow and same weapon glow as +8
+12 - different fist glow
+15 - lightning effect and same fist glow as +12
