This guide here takes into the account that you may have 5 pbi, 5 pssp, and 5 resurrection scrolls given out during the leveling promotion going out. It is still going on but the rules to level are still the same. Just that with the PBI used you can level faster. But again, you should not use PBI till AFTER you have finished sp farming. These are just topics and are not in any order, but to just give you an idea of the options you have.
1. You do not know how long the promotion will last. So you get one toon, using pbi all the way and level as fast as you can. When i power leveled people at the commander with PBI it took about 2 hours to get to level 31 now. But not too many people will help you like that. Reason that you want to get to level 31 fast, is that when you reach that level you get a set of level 30-33 armor +10 and 2 - level 33 weapons +10. I tell everyone to make a Knight character to get this armor with. The knight gets a bonus of a +10 shield. You can always go to Collector Rhyl to change the armor to any class, but it is the shield that you can not do this with. So you now have the armor for a pet trainer too.
2. This is another thing to look at too. As of Oct 2010, if you are L1-10,L1-19, get a guardian and make level 20 withing 10 days you get a +15 weapon. Hea, this is nice though. Later you will realized the money and luck it takes to get a +15 weapon. Now if you sp farm and kill the mobs without too much trouble of gettting killed or your mobs are easy to get too. Stay at this level to sp farm. Otherwise, get another toon to L31, to get the +10 armor and weapons, that you L29L27 character can sp farm on. Believe me, with that armor, you definitely do not have to worry about dying now. At Level 27, you are able to wear all the +10 armor too.
3. I advise people to make a pet trainer. Now is a good time because of the bonus items you get. If you do, Read in this STRATEGY GUIDE the topic making a Pet Trainer. Figure out the sp you need and also for the level 32 passive skill. Besides you also need to max mana break if you want to change class at level 31 to a Templar knight. So if you have time, sp along the way, you have the 5 pssp to help now. Once you have the pet trainer, you can always sell the duals or just keep to go to the arena with. Also, since you will not be long at level 25-35, you can always borrow the pet trainer armor, till you get the next level of armor then return the armor to him.
4. Now you get your new Level 1 or 2 character to join a guildie that is level 6 or up. This character is your main now. Get the GM from the guild to lock your xp. You do your quests, but start at around level 8, IF YOU CAN, to start sp farming on the level 10 zombies there. (This advice is for the new players. This way you can figure out how your character works without too much dying. From L1-10, if you die you do not lose xp or sp. After that you lose xp and sp. So REMEMBER THIS.) Then when you level you just keep on going to the next set of monsters, level by level. The monster that is at your level gives the maximum sp. Remember also to be in a solo party ALL THE TIME. At this time you are getting your passive and general skills now. When you reach about level 15, again depending on your armor, then go to the Prokion Temple and sp farm on the Level 17 Ghoulies. What is good here is that you can run back to the hallway when you have low hp and to rest and recover.
You also want to max the special or crafting skills also. Now when you start in the Prokion Farm, here is where it becomes tricky. You have to do two things at once. Get skills and know when to get them. For example, you write that you need 300 sp to get the next 4 skills. OK, you kill the ghoulies until you reach the 300 sp mark and also without going over the 90% experience level either. Figure out ahead of time that you have to kill so many ghoulies to get a sp. The reason again, is that you want to get your sp EXACTLY so you get your skills with 0 sp left. Then when you have to kill yourself to put you back to 0% experience level, then you will not have lost any sp at all. You repeat this over and over, this you have all your skills maxed that you can, One reason to sp at the Level 17 ghoulie is that you do not need high armor. The higher you level the more armor you need to survive now.
In the mean time, you have to try and sell your drops. You will need to start getting sp restoration scrolls, one by one. Losing xp is not too bad, but it takes longer to recover the sp back. Try not to sell the HS, and tool aids. But again, i said try not to. You might need to seesell an HS or two to get a restoration scroll now.
Anyway, I recommend to max all your skills. Once you do that you should be an old Pro like me by then. Now you can start to save sp up. One thing, you might save gold for is to get the sp restoration scrolls. So that way, if you die or kill yourself, the sp is not lost. Some people sp farm at level 17, BUT then go to level 25 because the drops are bigger. Bigger drops means bigger gold. Save your tool aids and HS and any xpb that you find. See by the time you get ready to go to the tomb, if you have xpb and pbi, you can level SUPER fast here. I went with upgraded armor of course, as a level 49 Templar Knight. I killed 4 Level 100 screaming zombies and leveled. I always wondered what would have happened if I had gone in like level 45, LOL.
Please note, there is LAG in the game now. So use common sense. If the mob is hitting you and your hp goes down, run or do something. Yes, most try to fight to the death, but then if you do not have the sp restoration scroll or the Resurrection Scroll, then you lose about 2 hours of playing time. So be aware of this now.
When you get the hang of playing, you may slowly move to the next level. READ the mob guide for the levels of monsters. You need to use the directory, so that in time you will know what is in here. I have a listing for Guilds. Yet I will have people ask me, How do i run a guild or how many points do i need to level the guild. They have not looked.
When i was leveling, i would skip a level of armor now. Example, I have the L40-42 armor, and then started or tried to get the Level 50-52 armor. At L60, you get a FREE set of L60-62 armor +5. So not too bad. And I think two weapons of L61+5 too.
Make sure to read on the Free AP now. I would watch a minute video and get like 10 ap. Then buy PBI, low level, that sell for 1 ap. YES, 1 ap. Then i send to the guildies. But this takes time and no one wants to get free ap, except me, lol.
Make sure to read on how to upgrade your armor with smelts now. Use weapons that are the same level or higher then the item you plan to upgrade with smelts. I got by with +3 armor and weapons till i was ready to leave the Prokion Temple and started to level. But I was a Templar and the extra defense sure helped a lot.
