LC Homepage Socket System Guide

Socket System
The new socket system now allows weapons and armor to carry slots that you
can now put jewels with different applications to your item. Example, you can apply
a Level 2 jewel with 2% hp. What this will do, is when you wear this item, your Total
Hit Points will increase by 2%.

STRATEGY TIP:

1.
The HP/MP regen jewels are nearly useless now. So if you regen hp at 10 point spurts, then a 50% regen jewel will make it 15%. THINK
Where to go

2. If you make your L2 Jewels, see how much it is costing you. It might be cheaper to buy them now.

3. Depending on your ap status, you can get a one more card to get an extra slot for your item. To get an item to the 4th slot, I find takes the
higher scroll. That is, you have to pay BIG TIME ap to get a higher level scroll to try to get that 4th jewel slot.

First you go to the the Socket Manager (A), just to the right of the Weapons Trader in Randol.
When you click the Socket Manager, you get a menu (B) of things you can do.

B
Socket ManagerSocket Manager Menu

A. Socket Items

Go to Menu and click Socket Items. Here is where you get your weapon/armor to get their sockets placed.

A. Click Socket Items and this window appears.
B. You place the item to have sockets put in and a scroll. Scrolls can be bought from the Socket NPC now.
If you notice, "Socket Processing Available" is on weapons and armors that can be socketed. Then in D picture, you
can see "Socket Processing Impossible", which means you can not try to put sockets again.
C, Here is what appears when you fail with the Socket Attempt. You get SOCKET FAIL!
D. When the socket attempt is successful, you get 2 Socket Attempt. This means that 2 sockets were put on item.

This is for the weapon/armor with the "Socket Processing Available." If the item has 1 socket and it can get 2 sockets or more
then you will need a one time card. Click the card, put item in square, then the card is good until you are successful.

B. Meld Jewels

A. Click "Meld Jewels" from Main Menu and get Picture A.

B. Then in the center Box, drag the weapon/armor that you wish to meld the Jewels too.
C,Now depending on how many slots there are put the jewels into the desired slots as shown on Picture B.

Remember, if you say have a weapon that has only 3 slots, then up to 3 jewels may be melded.
D.Once you are through, then click the Meld button.
E.The results are on Picture C. By putting your pointer over the weapon, you can see the results.
F.You notice the numbers, 1,2,3, and 4 in Picture A. The jewels in Picture C are numbered from top to bottom. So Amber is in the 1 slot, Black Pearl in the 2 slot and Diamond in the 3 slot

REPLACING ONE JEWEL
Click Meld Jewels again. Put sword in slot. We wish to replace the Diamond Jewel with the Amethyst Jewel in slot 3. So put the Amethys jewel in slot 3, then click Meld. In Picture E, you can see the results. So you can replace any jewel with another and the other jewels are not afftected.

Scrolls Explained

Scrolls are used to add sockets to gear. There are a variety of scrolls with different success rates and different socket potential. Some of the scrolls are sold by the Socket Manager so visit him to start the process. While 5 scrolls are known to exist, ancient tablets describe a series of Legendary Scrolls hidden throughout Iris. The number of sockets and probability of a successful socketing occurring increase with higher level scrolls. Once a scroll is obtained, the Socket Manager in Juno will need the scroll as well as the piece of gear that you wish to be socketed. Please note a scroll may only be applied once to a piece of gear. If you wish to apply a second scroll, you will need to purchase a One More Card!

The One More Card

SOCKET SYSTEM - Last Chaos
A special item exists that gives you the ability to apply multiple scrolls to a single item. This item is called the One More Card and can be used on any piece of socketed gear. You buy this card in the shop with ap.

  1. Select a piece of gear with sockets already applied.
  2. Remove any melded jewels with the help of the Socket Manager in Juno.
  3. Then put the pointer on the One More Card, and click.
  4. A window appears and drag your gear unto the window.

Strategy Tips"

1.You use this card to put another socket on the gear. Once the gear has reached its maximum socket capacity, you can not use the card no more.

2.Once the gear is applied to the card, then you can make as many "Attempts" to get another socket. Once you are successful, then the Card disappers. You will need another card to make another socket attempt.

3.If you plan to get better jewels later, to put on the sockets then use Level 2 sockets as they will not cost much, when you have to take them off, to make a socket attempt.

So Basically, if you have a weapon with 1 socket. Then you will be using 3 One More Cards to get 3 more sockets.

Examples of what a jewel will do to stats. The first column is A L5 constitution (5%) and you can see it only adds hp and MP points.
These is from the base stats without help from pots, weapons, as such. When you log in you can see your base hp and mp.
