Skills can be obtained using skill points. You will receive one skill point for every 10,000 skill experience gained. Each skill or skill level will have a skill point/requirement cost. You may only purchase a skill or skill level if you have enough skill points and have met any other requirements.

Special skills are purchased from various NPC's, depending upon the special skill area in which you want to focus. Unlike general and passive skills, special skills are not class dependant. Special skills can be broken down into three sections:

• Production - mining, farming, and energy absorption
• Processing - energy, stone, and herb processing
• Crafting - alchemy, weapon smithing, and armor crafting

Production skills improve your rate and amount gathered from resources. Processing skills allow you to make crafting materials from resources. Crafting skills allow you to create weapons, armor, and other items from resources and/or crafting materials
