As in any other games, there are phrases, words, or item terms that are unique for that game and Last Chaos is no different. I have included the game terminology and item terms definitions and anything else I can think of. If you see something missing, feel free to add it to my list.
AoE - Area of effect. Some skills can damage several monster around the player. In some games there are
character builds specialized in having a big amount of HP, gathering a lot of monsters and then kill all of
them at the same time.
AFK - Away From Keyboard. In other words, your character is selling or just in town chilling out, while you go watch a
movie or go cook yourself a mean, +10 Hamburger before you come back and start killing again.
ap - aerie points. These are points purchased with real money. $1 = 100 ap.
Bot - This term is short for Robot. This is a program which automatically performs one or multiple functions over and over again. For example, a bot is used to describe character who usually stays in one place and just kills anything within its range automatically. The bot kills and then automatically picks up the gold drop. Usually the gold spammers are at work if you ever see one. This is done through an "illegal" micro program. Doing this is a bannable offense in Last Chaos. You can not have any outside source like another program to help or aid you in any way. Bots can sometimes be seen selling stuff usually at a price that is "too good to be true." Again, if you buy something from a bot, it is possible to be temporarily suspended while the "illegal goods" are removed. Aeria did this to some people and you think it would take a few minutes to get your toon back, more like a few days.
brb - be right back
brt - be right there
btw - by the way
COM - Coin of Master. In Sarissa, MC is used now. Same meaning
cya - see you (slang, see ya)
Damage hack - Makes all hits a certain amount. Example: 99,999
Demon Party - When you get high enough, you can go to Egeha and form a party to kill the Bocau Demon or just in general to form a party to go to Eghea also. That is why you sp farm at low levels, because for example a level 37 Knight in a demon party can make a level
inaboutin about an hour. Of course, the higher you are, the less % of xp per kill. So if you are constantly killing demons, say starting at level 37, then every level gained would take a little bit longer to attain.
gold spammer - These are the people who advertise to sell game gold by going to their site. First it is illegal to buy from them. Second, they are annoying as they will put one message after another and if you are trying to talk to someone you can just forget it. I researched these spammers and on the game World of Warcraft, I read how the gold spammers inflated prices to a higher rate trying to force people to buy gold from them to purchase items that they the gold spammers had inflated. In other words, if there were no gold spammers on LC, prices in all the servers might be lower. Grinding = What else but fighting the monsters.
HH -
Happy
Hour. Usually two hours, in which a bonus is given from double xp to double sp or any combination. Read the Homepage to
findwhenfind when these occur. Hours can vary to 4 hour blocks, which usually go on longer. But if they do, HH may end without any notice too.
idk -
i don't
know
Kick off - Removing a person from a party or list
KS -
Kill
stealing. Some players don't like that others help killing the monster they are currently killing. This becomes specially annoying for AoE players. Remember, newer players will try to "help" you, so be polite and just tell them the rules or that you do not need help.
lol - Laughing Out Loud. To describe something that is funny or to indicate you are laughing at something.
MC -
Monster
Combo
NPC - Non Player Character - This is a character in game who is not
controledcontrolled by any person. i.e. a quest giver, the weapons trader, Merchant Geres, and so on.
Rofl - Roling on floor laughing. Typically said when something is very funny.PM - Private message. A way to talk to someone without anyone else hearing.
i c - i see. A slang term to state you have realized something.
LSS, lss -
Lucky
Smelting
Stone
Mall - Go to the bottom Right of your screen and you see an icon "Shop." Clicking this will bring you to the Mall where you may purchase items with aerie points.
Mob = Usually referring to the monsters. I always thought it meant Monster On Board. lol
Mobbing - Gathering a bunch of monsters together at once. This can be seen usually in the butchers or pilferer areas. One person may gather a bunch of monsters or a big mob to kill or for his party to kill.
Mad Monster Spawn (MMS) - Usually held about an hour or two before Tuesday Maintenance begins. Location is given and monsters are spawned here. If they are killed in a certain time, then treasures appear. I have noticed that treasures seem to appear anyway.
MM or
mm -
Merchant
Mode
nvm -
ne
ver
mind
PvE -
Player
versus
Environment. or you versus the monsters. (Who knows how environment got in there, LOL)
PvP - Player versus player. This a term used when two non NPC's fight each other.
Quiz - This happens every Sunday and is located at the Domain Merchant by the West Gate intersection in Randol. Time is usually at 1:30 pm PST. You enter the room and it is the same as a Guild hall. On one side is marked with "X" and the other side mark with many "0". A question is asked and the answer is either X or O, and you go to the side of the room with the letter you think is right. Trick is to usually follow the crowd now. But I have seen it too, where one person was on the other side, and the other side with the whole crowd got the answer wrong, lol. But if you win, this is an easy way to win - 15 Heaven Stones.
Range hack - Makes you able to hit anything at any distance, however you must be within a certain range to take damage.
Swarming - Same thing as mobbing. Again, you have a swarm or group of monsters that you gather to kill.
Solo - No this is not to describe Hans Solo now. When you are in any kind of party but you are fighting separately, then you're in a "solo" party.
Smelts - These are stones that are received when you transmute a weapon or a piece of armor at the Transmuter. Short for smelting stone.
Speed Hack - Makes movement and
ATKAttack speed uber fast.
Teatime - This is similar to Happy Hour, but happens every Sunday. It usually is 2 - 2 hour periods or may be a block 4 hour period in which various bonuses are given. Watch it because sometimes they start early and sometimes they go over the time limit, which no one never minds if they do, especially if it is a double xp event. And if does go overtime, the teatime may end without notice too.
Bi= Blessed Iris, this increases the amount of experience you get per kill by 100%, for 1 hours
CSS= Chaos smelting stone, these allow you to flawlessly upgrade an item with no failure until a weapon or armor reaches the maximum enhancement limit, (+12)
HS - Heaven Stone= Lets you up grade an item up to +15 with 50% success rate and 15% chance to break the item
idb - Item Drop Booster - Gives you a higher chance of getting a rare item for one kill. (Best to combine with Lucky Scroll)
lss - Lucky smelting stone= Lets you upgrade an item to +6 with no chance of ruining the item
ls - Lucky scrolls= Give you a higher chance of getting rare items for 10 minutes. (best to combine with idb)
ms - Moon stone= Used on the Moon statue to collect assorted items such as minerals, Hp/Mp/ Attk/ Def potions, more moonstones, or large crystals of experience.
Mount - A Pet that is Level 31 +. Once the pet is turned into a mount, the mount does not level anymore. The best level for a mount is:
Level 37 for the Horse. Horse mounts are used for their offensive and defensive hauling skills. Level 33 for the Dragon. Dragon mounts are use for their Fire breath, Poison, and Roar abilities.
pssp - Platinum Super Skill Pill
rc= Recall Scroll, this allows someone to summon everyone in their party to their current spot. These can be bought in the item mall. The Recall Scrolls lasts in increments of: 1h, 3h, 1day, 3day, 1week, and 1month, and depends on how much you want to spend. Contrary to popular noob belief, the time for the Recall Scroll starts when you have it in your inventory, whether you are logged in or not. If you do buy one, you can leave it in your item mall inventory as time only starts as soon as you transfer the scroll to your character inventory. Also, Look at all the items as you sometimes find packages and sometimes it is cheaper to buy the package with the scroll in it, cheaper then just buying the scroll by itself. But again, you have to check once a week for the package deals.
bi= Blessed Iris, this increases the amount of experience you get per kill by 150%, for 3 hours
pbi= Platinum blessed iris, increases xp gain by 300% for 1 hours, P.S. Almost any item term has the letter "P" in front of it, it's a platinum.
xpb - Experience Point Boosters
