will this ruin the fun for me?
Well, the sorcerer character has had a few glitches since I started out in apr 2007. A year later and same bugs still there. LOL You never mentioned the boot problems. I know if you die with armor or weapons and you are red, then an item may get sealed. I was a rogue with a red name when I first started out, then had someone kill me so I would lose the red and my weapon got sealed. I went to the archbishop and the problem was it cost more to unseal it, then it was worth, lol.
Make sure you read the STRATEGY GUIDE then go to the section Blog on Leveling to help you then to level. Got some good tips there. Besides, you can still go to the prolion temple to do some sp farming. My level 32 pet trainer gets 3850 from the Orc Sergeants.
Now if you can have your mum buy you some ap now. click Homepage, sign in and click store at the top. Then go to the various payment methods to see the different extra % bonus you get. Yesterday was 30%. It normally is 15% bonus ap you get when you buy. Then when you buy ap for the first time, you get a 35% first time buyer's bonus. So 35% + 15% = 50% bonus ap you would get.

Lessons in weapon crafting one
DONT SPEND AP. Call the wise one first, lol. All you have to do is to get sp to get the BASIC level 1 skills. That is all. For example, if you skipped the level 1 mining skill, then simple. Get ap and now you have to BUY the level 1 skill. Go to Lorraine and check , cuz some skills are up to like level 35 and you can still get them. The special skills are the crafting skills now. Special skills like mining, armor and weapon smith, cutting herb, and etc. So if anything just start from the weapons master from the miner trainer (stone processing) and get every level 1 skill IF Lorraine does not have that quest ready for you. Press W to get the town map and see if any blue Q in town now. In case, you might have overlooked some. Hmmm, that is about all i can say about the quests and skills now.
Not really sure what you meant by pet trainer. Well the pet trainer should have been a knight cuz better defense. BUT it can be anything, just that you might have to get a little better armor if anything. If you are a 22 pet trainer, then just go to everyone and get ONE level 1 skill. Then like me, you will use the pet trainer for the crafting skills, but you need only these to max to Level 3 now - weapons smith, armor smith, flawless stone processing, green herb processing. Reason is these you will need to make the higher level skills. like the trunk processing you might use to make like level 29 weapons and then it is not worth it.
Remember for your main, to get ALL general, passive, and special skills. This is banking them so when you get to level 70 or so, THEN you get the sp reset card to get all the sp back. By then you will know what skills you really need.
Also go to Quest guide and see what levels the skills are set for, like is mining for level 3-25 or what. (made up the numbers now)

be Level 10 to learn. Increases Max Hp by 30%. Applies to leveling up as well. Mage Armour 228 Skill Points to max Must be Level 20 to learn
