Drop Steal?

It should be
"Drop grab"

The game gives you 60 seconds (or 30 am not sure exactly) to pick up items. If you haven't by then, the item becomes 'everyone's'. Anyone is allowed to pick it up, and some do.
I dislike the negativity placed on an perfectly apt system.

If a drop is that important to you, than you would run out and grab it before the timer runs out. 24  out of 29 found this valuable. Do you?

It is called drop steal because it is a drop steal. You did not earn that in anyway, so why would it be yours? 3  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree that it is stealing anyway u look at it ..there r those who raid player camps just to do exactly that grab the drops before u can get them. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Easy way to deal with this is to place pet item pickup on your quick bar, and pick up items as they drop.....then you'll never have to worry about thieves. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Finally, someone who pays attention! My characters only pick-up maybe 1 out of 100 drops themselves. Pet item pick-up is the only way to go. Put the button at number 5 or f5 on your quick pick bar and do your pick ups while fighting. ie. Kill a monster which drops something, attack next monster and while fighting hit the pet pick-up hot key and there ya go. Once you figure it out it becomes second nature. Remember, your pet will not move to pick-up something while you are charging a magic spell. Helps especially when sp farming which can leave your drops free to others due to time limit on drops. As far as picking up drops from others. Hey if they are just laying there they are yours. Anyone who sits on someone just to take the drops is stupid. Go to town and set up a market just full of garbage will get you more gold in a much shorter time anyway. You can grab 25-30k for a drop booster or moonstone in minutes. Why look for gold drops? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

i put some tips in the strategy guide on pet pick up. And did you know after 5 minutes your drops disappear too 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
