Rogue Power Leveling
Jun 17 2008, 8:33 PM EDT
Ok, I am a level 25 rogue, IGN ( TwilightAssassin ) . I have a level 37 horse with buffs and a level 31 dragon. Please tell me if I am doing something wrong, because I really think I am. What I do is I go to the Great Horn Beast area in Juno and get like 10 of them to attack me and then get on my dragon and flame them all. Now I only get maybe .37% or so for all 10 of them. They are white to me by the way. And I really dont think this is how you level up fast.So if you can, please post a helpful reply or tell me in game if I'm on. Thank you for your time.

Kind of hard to say what to do now. You will find at certain levels now, it is hard to find the right mob to level. OK, if you want to power level your rogue and not worry about sp you are making a BIG mistake. Reason is you will need EXTRA sp when you do the class change. Hint - Be a ranger. Then when you make class change with the extra sp you can get either the hunter skills or assassin skills for your character. Now to power level, you really want to hit, in my opinion, creatures a level or two higher then you. You could start on the treants, level 26 mob. Remember the higher mob above you is more xp and less sp. Then below you is less xp and less sp now. You do not want to hit TOO high, cuz then you die and lose all that playing time to make up for it. So just go with the treants for now. What people forget is that if you die and lose 5%, then it is really double time you have lost. Say you have 50% and you die. Then you are at 45%. Now figure out how much time it would take you to get back to 50%. But wait, if you had not died then the playing time you just did would have made you 55%. Kind of a strange concept to learn but this is true. Took me about 9 months to FINALLY see it that way. I was on a dragon on Caraie and died and never thought nothing of it. Then one day, the light hit me. Power level with a mob from white to yellow, that is at least a level above you now. You want the max sp. You also need to be in a solo party too to get the max xp from the mob. I never like the horned beasts cuz they attack the pets. I kind of skipped them and did the treants instead. So, hit the treants or the horned beasts if you have too. Your % is good, unless you have an xp booster. To do the power leveling you want you would have to have someone higher then you go attack a red named mob, then at the last moment teleport to town and let you finish it off. For one man, leveling is slow. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |
