XP:SP Ratios
Sep 9 2008, 2:33 PM EDT | Post edited: Sep 9 2008, 2:33 PM EDT
For levels 10 to 19, SP Farm at the Velpist Temple in Juno. The XP to SP ratio for the zombies averages about 1:4.5. When you are 4 to 5 levels above the level of the zombies, the ratio drops to 1:4; still, a better ratio than sasquatches. FYI: The sasquatch ratio starts off at 1:4, drops to 1:3.5, and finally to 1:3.

Levels 10 to 13, wandering zombies.
Levels 14 and 15, both ancient zombies and wandering zombies.
Levels 16 to 19, ancient zombies and berserk zombies.
At level 20, your character is usually strong enough to take on the ghouls at Prokion Temple in Dratan without the need for potions and/or sitting to regain health points.

Everyone only looks at numbers but forget the important thng, TIME. At level 19, you can get more xp and sp with level 18 drakes then in the Prokion Temple. The xp and sp is lower for 1 drake, BUT the catch is that you can kill drakes FASTER and then you do not have to worry about dying. I just finished two days ago, doing this.

If you look at the Strategy guide, I already revised the "Old sp farming with Sasquatch" as always, it is obsolete now. Now it is to sp farm at Temples now. Someone mentioned in going to the Prokion Temple in Velpist which I did at level 12 and the xp and sp was nice.

Last year, I argued with some on the LC forum and try to tell people DO NOT look at one monster killed but look in a time block instead. Anyway, I won out, because killing drakes was fast. But no one wants to time it for say 15 minutes now. And even if the same, I like the odds of drops too. Get more chances of MS and HS if you kill 100 mobs verses 25 mobs, even though you get same xp and sp now.

And as always, this is just my suggestion now and gives people a new insight on the strategy of the game. If you sp like I suggest then in the long run you actually level faster. I will spend a month probably at level 25 in the Temple getting sp. Then I can go to Demon parties and level fast.

I tend to agree with 5fingers on this. The faster you kill, the faster you get your skill exp....thus faster sp farming. Also since you're mobbing, it tends to be a bit more fun cuz you have to pay closer attention, thus it's not quite as boring..lol I remember having a blast with drakes back in the day....lol Do you find this valuable?

I failed to mention that my rationale is two-fold; to maximize SP at the lower levels and to pet level. It's true, the zombies are basically boring; while they are not hard to kill, they are really time consuming. I just figured, since you get 1 pet XP for every 3.5 seconds of active combat, why not kill two birds with one stone?

The ratios to which I refer are strictly observations I made regarding the temple monsters. Consider it "Useless Knowledge," if you prefer.

Personally, I never gave much credence to the sasquatch strategy. Their ratios are merely a point for comparison. Besides, it takes more time to round up a group of sasquatches than it does to kill them; not to mention, inevitably freaking out the new players, who almost always want to come and lend their "assistance." I, myself, am guilty in that regard. lol When we first started playing LC, it took my husband and I about 2 weeks to figure out that people were actually "purposely" gathering up lines of jaguars and sasquatches.

"Round up those dogies, cowboy." I admit it, getting together a whole swarm of drakes in Juno or harpies in Dratan is not only efficient, it's just downright fun. In addition, you have the added benefit of helping to level a pet because of the continuous time spent actively fighting.

Time. We (my husband and I) do not concern ourselves with time. We level when we level; we get there when we get there. We are in it to enjoy the game and have a good time in the process.

The intent and purpose of this post was to be helpful, and in no way deter or detract from your SP Strategy.

It is no problem. The sasquatch sp farming strategy is obsolete for one thing. I just try to give "another" view point on ways to sp farm and get xp. I am at level 25 now and will THEN sp farm for a month or so, till I get enough sp, like to get level 7 on shield strike which by then you might be collecting SSN.

This forum is for debate on stuff. Hea, if you want to sp farm on any monster you choose then go for it. LOL Besides, depends if you are one to play hardcore or just a casual player. I am a little of both. I like to maximize my xp and sp when I can, but then I might go hit up on harpies for the fun of it. Actually to get feathers or tears if I can.

Besides, i am going to sp farm to get ALL the sp I think I need, then really have fun, to level or power level, without worrying about sp farming. I sp farmed enough before when I was level 38 and It does take a long time. Yea, that 5300 sp is better then 1100 sp. Besides, if I was in a party, i would not mind to much to actually get max xp or sp, but I level alone a lot, so I try to maximize my points when I can. Doing this wiki, does take time.

Well anyway, feel free to express your point of view whenever, cuz in this game, I think, everyone is right. Like you said, you level when you level, lol

5. Sp farming tips

Whereas if u want to keep on sp farming at lvl 17 dieing is fine and watnot but instead i would recommend that you use a pssp while at 50% lock at lvl 17-19, then an exp scroll to lvl 21 with effort scroll, then use pssp again from lvl 21-23, once again exp scroll with effort scroll until lvl 25 then use pssp up to lvl 27, by this time you should be putting in a good 2 hours of sp per lvl and by the time u reach lvl 30 you will have most if not all of the sp you need. I did this personally but as a delay of setting the 50% lock i had already gotten 8k sp on my knight when they did they caught up and put me at 50% lock. My knight got a total of 13k sp by the time he reached lvl 26 at which point i started lvling. My knight is atm lvl 89, all skills maxed and still has around 5.5k sp left. This will probably actually save u time and money from using sp scrolls and dieing. With a +6 jap set(gotten with ap) and a +15 event wep or 21+15 wep you will be just fine with minor healing along the way. Do you find this valuable?
