Use of Manuals?

Can someone please explain the use of manuals. (For example the "small healing potion manual"). Thanks in advance! ^_^ 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Yea, easy. If you click the manual, it tells you the materials or mats you need, to make the pots with.

If a manual says you need 30 green herb then when you have 30 on you it will show slightly lighted up now.

But when i get back in game, I will check it out and reply back.

I'd say manuals are used for making items/armor/weapon depending on the kind of manual you have. For example, the small healing potion manual will be used to make small healing potions. When you double click on the manual, you will see the list of "ingredients" that you need to make the item. Sometimes, the materials that are needed for the item need to also be made. An example of that would be if you were making shoes and it calls for cotton. To gather the cotton, you'd have to either buy it from someone selling it, or make it yourself. If you make it yourself, you'd need to get a green herb leaf manual and also gather green herb leaves with tool aids. As ElLoco has said, after you have gathered the required item in your inventory, the ingredient will light up to a different color. When you have all ingredients, all will have changed color. In my opinion, it's only worth making the product if it's something rare because it's cheaper to just buy it either from npc or other ppl. This is where having the special skills come in handy. If you don't have the skill then you can always use the Master of Processing materials and have him make the materials for you (u still have to supply the ingredients though). Hoped that helped a little bit. :) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Back again. At the time, had some guildies needed something.

Anyway, if you go to the Master of Processor located at the North Gate Intersection, he is the one that you can make materials from. Just click him and you can figure it out. So you are making an item and it requires black diamonds, then you go to the MoP to get them made there. Now if you get the flawless stone processing skill to level 3, then you can buy the flawless stone scroll and using your skill , make diamonds with a double better rate. I know as i did a 100 on the MoP and the scrolls. So it was approximate 40% with the MoP and then 82% with my level 3 flawless stone skill and using scrolls. So money wise in the long run it was worth getting the skills.

Go to "Production Material LIsts" and look around. But if you are just starting out, read the STRATEGY GUIDE and from there click and go to Blog on Leveling. This will get you started going. For now, You really do not need to know anything about manuals. Learn how to sp farm and how to upgrade first. Then when you get this then the manual processing should be next. The game has changed such, that with the power leveling going on all around there is no call to get the armor and weapons like they used too. That was when leveling was slow. Now with the patches and sp farming made easier, some peeps can skip armor and weapons levels.

It is nice to know about the manuals, but you can but armor up to level 37 and weapons up to level 33. So you can see you only need to know about manuals when you get to like level 35. I got other people asking similar questions and I tell them simply to LEARN the rules of sp farming and pet training first, that is, if you want to level fast. But no one listens, lol. Till too late. Hope this answers you question.

FYI, you will find that it is cheaper to buy your potions then make them. It is a hassle to try to make them now. The healing potion manuals and like the mana potion manuals were made when you could not buy med or large mana. Well now you can buy them so why make them, lol.

So game items get out of date. Everyone was complaining to make a mana potion manual then a few months later, they start having the NPC sell it, so now the trouble of make mana is moot. Like the cutting herb skills which are obsolete. It is cheaper, faster, and more convenient to spend say 25k gold to get a tool aid and get your 27 herbs NOW. Otherwise, why cut herbs all night when you can sell all night and make more money. Cutting leaves all night might get you say around 10-15 herbs. But this skill is obsolete now. But get it maxes as this will bank some sp for later use.

The game progress, but lots of other stuff they do not update for one reason or the other.
