Unsure what to try next
Apr 17 2009, 11:40 AM EDT
I've been testing which is the best stat distribution for a royal knight. In this guide it says either pure con, str, dex or a combination of those. I have tried pure dex and pure strength. I didn't seem to notice that much difference between the two. People that were killing me before are still killing me now and people that I killed before I am still killing. Against monsters I hit a bit harder with a pure strength build and they still miss me 99% of the time. So is pure strength the way to go? I am leaning that way. I mean if the monsters aren't tearing me to shreds then I should be good to go and kill them faster right? I think I need to head to the caves to see how often the knights hit me. I did very limited testing in the pvp arena and in the tombs on the sphinx commanders. I see no point in pumping up my constitution. I think I am going to split the stats equally between dex and str and see how I fare. I would like to hear what other knights are trying out on their character so I can get an idea what I should do next. Do you find this valuable?

i have put all my stats on strength. I have recorded what i do now with the commanders. I will get about 20 strength and change to dexterity and see what happens. I know for a fact that I will change back, but if i say something that is because I have tested it. Not just on hearsay. I find lot of people on the forum talk from hearsay and rumor. Case example, is you do not NEED all evasion armor. But people on the forums still swearing by it. LOL They have not read, that LC did away with 100% evasion and got it to 70% evasion. Anyway, If the evasion is capped, then anything over is wasted. So i suggest to get 3 eva and 2 def armor. You have to be flexible with your knight too. As to what you have on too.Anyway, in the next week, i will report back and tell you what i found out. BTW, you do not need any stats in constitution now. Do you find this valuable? |

None in constitution? What about the 17 needed for your skills or did they nerf that? Hmm that'd be sweet if I could take those stats back and place them elsewhere. I do agree a lot of people just repeat what it is that they've heard.I asked "TheMonk" (level 135 royal) what he put his stats in and he said all dex. While strength does boost your damage output the dexterity increases the critical chance, attack speed and evasion therefore in the long run he said pure dex is better. I get the feeling he has tested different stat distributions and prefers the dex one. Honestly I think it works fine both ways. No one is really wrong here it is just a matter of personal choice as to what you want to do. I am thinking about the middle ground. Half to dex the other half to strength. My gear is pretty good so far, I could use a few better items here and there but I make due and that is fine for me. Helm: B6Def+10 30% Less MP consume Gloves: G5Eva+15 Shirt: B5Con+15 Pants: B5Eva+13 Boots: W4Eva+15 Swords: G5Hero+15 As you can see I am not that bad off at all. I wonder though. Do I currently hit the max for evasion? I have 2 necklaces that both add 56 evasion on top of all this eva gear I have. At what point does eva become overkill? Do you find this valuable? |

Sorry, i forgot how to get evasion. It was a hot topic last year and you could figure it out yourself. But the 3 eva armor and 2 def works for me so far. I would rather have 60% evasion then 80% evasion, as that extra 10% evasion is wasted. Yea, I will wait till i hit level 110, then i will go to creon and recover say 20 strength and then put it on dexterity. But again, I noticed here and there that things are maxxed to a point now. Think on this now. If you have all eva armor then your evasion is more in likely capped. So am i supposed to change stat points from strenth to dex now. Seems i would be lose out, if i change and add the points to dexterity. That is my theory now from what I have read in the forums. But i will do it, just so i can write it down here in my wiki. This way , I can say it comes from personal experience, not hearsay. Well gtg now, out to the back yard. Do you find this valuable? |
