Yes, good and bad days do exist in my opinion. In a guild hall with 200% HS upgrade event running I tried to upgrade my 37+3 weapon. the first HS was +1, the second - ruin :-(. I left the guild hall and continued using my 33+8. I got another 37 weapon from drop, smelt 3 boots and - +3. in a 150% HS upgrade event tried upgrading it again. The first HS was no change, after that every one up to +10 was a hit.
In addition in the above mentioned stacked upgrade I also set a limit to the upgrade. in this case I said to myself that if it goes to +10 I'm stopping. If it breaks before that limit I do not feel bag - it was my gambling for that day :-)
No RoP for me too. I also find them too expensive. Have fun with LC! Do you find this valuable?

yea, i said about the same thing in my STRATEGY GUIDE in the upgrade section. When it is HOT, i upgraded two weapons to +14 and no RoPs, But you have to know when this is possible too. Some events, even at the 200%, it will seem you can not upgrade past a certain level now too. But like everything else, you just have to learn when to stop.

One guy, chastised me, cuz he broke 6 weapons in a row, supposedly using my method. I told him, he skipped the part that says when I break or ruin 2 items, I quit. I need to change this. I would go to +12, use an Extreme stone then try for +14. Now you go to +12, use an hs to get +13, then a ES for +14. If I have the same two items at +14, THEN I will try to get +15. Too many times I tried for +15 and then no RoP to get back up.
