1. RE: producing question
May 15 2009, 8:03 PM EDT
in this game, you have to have the tools, to cut herbs, mine stones, and collect energy. Each class has their own tools to do this now.The only other way to get materials is to buy them, and they usually are expensive. When you first start out, you notice you get the skills to produce too. These are quests at the lower levels. If you ever are able to produce without tools, Let me know. I will not tell no one and give you one hell of a ATTA BOY, LMAO Do you find this valuable? |

Keep all your tool aids you get from drops. They always help and one can never have enough.

Well spencer, that is true enough to keep all tool aids. But most people do not want to read the long, boring section called "Blog on Leveling" in the STRATEGY SECTION that is in the intro. I tell them 2 things you do not sell - Tool Aids and Heaven Stones. But also, there is info overload. You read so much, that you will not remember everything too. So i never know, lol. That's true 5Fingers! I find even with notes I forget some things!! :(Like THIS tidbit I found: If you plan to be ”AFK” for a long time, use: ‘Energy Rock’, ‘Crop’ or ‘Ore Mine’. These are unlimited, while ‘Energy Stone’, ‘Brush’ and ‘Ore Vein’ will disappear once depleted. Also note that resources that disappear once depleted gives you materials more often that unlimited ones! Do you find this valuable? |

Okay I found this out... the hard way... and that created another set of related questions. If anyone knows the answers it would be great to know.I know you lose Tool Endurance with each "use" but... 1) How many uses does it take to acquire a complete product from a Temporary Source 2) How many uses does it take to acquire a complete product from a Permanent Source 3) Does having levels in the skill affect production time... or in other words reduce the number of uses to produce a complete product 4) If the answer to question 3 is yes... then how does anyone know how the skill ratings affect production and/or how much each level effects production? 6. part 1

Hea SmokeyDawn, thought you was catching some rays in that Cali beach. LOLYea, I need to put that in my wiki. There are so many things that i FORGET too, lol. Now to DeJoker9 Tools work like this according to the Gospel of Smokey: lol Herb - The "Magical Herb" bush is permanant and NEVER blinks out. The "Herb" bush blinks out when you get your 27 herbs from it. The numbers on a knife to use to get one herb i will have to research later now. At one time, i had the notes but did a pc recovery and FORGOT to save notes, It takes just as many points from a knife to get one herb from either a MAGICAL HERB bush or HERB bush now. This also applies to the other tools too. Now, in the STRATEGY GUIDE, under "Blog of Leveling" i have a few notes there. But to explain first. When LC first started out, peeps had to actually stay overnight to cut herbs. So it was wise to get the skills to cut herb for example to level 3. What this meant was that you could cut herb faster. Again, i forgot the rate. But with tool aids along, it was faster and cheaper to cut herb with a tool aid and then you could spend that "Cutting Time" on selling. Of course, you would like me, find that you would spend all night cutting herb and get like 10 herbs which is not that much. At one time, you would spend the night cutting because you did not know about merchant mode and selling. If you have skill level 3 on herb production it just means you cut at a faster rate. For example, if it took 600 points of your knife to get a herb then having a level 3 on herb production just meant that you could get a herb faster but it would still take 600 points to cut the herb. The game has evolved but not the skills. But getting a herb, stone, or energy source still takes the same amount of time. Tool aids erase the time dramatically. Do you find this valuable? |

Also, remember. If you are at the MAGICAL BUSH cutting herb overnight, then I come along and cut herb and use a tool aid and get my 27 herbs, then you are still cutting. If you are at a bush, and I come along and get my herb using a tool aid, the bush temporarily blinks out and about a minute later it comes back. BUT you are now just standing there as your production has been interuppted. These rules apply to mining and collecting energy too. The Magical Bush, Ore Mine, and Energy rock are permanent and never disappear. The Bush, Ore Vein, and Energy stone are temporary. So if you use a tool on them with tool aid or spending a few days trying to get your production items, then it will disappear and again, soon reappear. So Like SmokeyDawn said, if you gotta get stuff, use the permanent sources to get your items. When I get time, I will run a test AGAIN and get the timing for cutting herb. Then post the stats here. Then get say skill level 1 on Herb production and again, same time limit and see how much herb I get then, then repeat for skill level 2 and 3. They should also be the same for rocks and energy now. But in the final analysis, buy your tool and use a tool aid. Believe me, once you get up there, you will not be spending all night trying to get a few herb whereas you can sell your drops and make a lot more money. Well hope this explains it, and thanks to Ms Smokey for the help. Did not realize answer was that long, lol. Do you find this valuable? |
