I have done the party cube in Merac a few times and had some skill books drop there. All of them dropped within the first few stages. Yesterday a group of friends and myself all went in there and cleared 11 stages and not one book dropped. I then heard from someone in my guild that the cube was glitched and no longer drops books. I went to the shoutbox on the main webpage and asked a GS if they fixed the bug and Lady Azura and purpleflame both said that the problem had been resolved and the cube should drop books once again.

I am in search of my Fatal Blow book and would prefer to find it rather than pay an exorbitant amount of gold for it. I'd spend the entire day looking for it if I knew for certain they still dropped. I even did an hour with Lucky spell, scrolls of luck and idb and nothing. We did have 1 heaven stone drop. WOOOHOOO!!! Seriously though the last few times no one had any idb or anything that increases drops and we always found at least one book.

I am curious, has anyone had a skill book drop in the cube lately? Do you find this valuable?

Remember, to take things from other people and even the GMs with a grain of salt. Look at the patch where you have to use the F keys now and the letters and numbers do not work. That is either a glitch or patch they did not mention. The devs are so screwed up. They fix one thing and screw something else up. They might have set the rate a LITTLE bit higher from the bug, LOL. The GS repeat only what they are told. If you read, you can see where even the GMs do not know what is going on either at times. Even if it is a bug in the cube and you tell them, they will fix it when they ever get around to it. The devs have their own priorities now.

I went to the cube a few weeks back and no cube. I might have to recheck again, LOL. Do you find this valuable?

Well if your talking about the huge patch they recently did to where your screen went back to windows mode and whenever you press a button it goes into text instead of opening menus and such.

Remedy that by pressing Esc. select options. check the box next to Enter Chat and then click confirm. Voila! Hotkeys work again. As for the cube not being where it is meant to be I dunno. Were you on subserver 1? It is my understanding that you can only do the cube on S1. I never looked on the other servers to see if it appears there or not.

On the topic of my original post. I think the cube is glitched but am still baffled at how many skill books I have been seeing for sale lately. They've got to be getting them from somewhere. I've whispered a few of the sellers but they were afk or just didn't reply to me.

Almost 5 hours into the merac cube my party and I gave up. Not a single book had fallen out of a monsters ass. It's like beating a dead horse at the edge of a water hole trying to get it to drink. LMAO

I am going to wake up bright and early tomorrow and assemble a party and spend as much time as it takes to reach the end boss in there. I've got to find my book. There is no purpose for me to level if I can't gain more badass attack skills. Do you find this valuable?

press the "System Menu" icon, then check the box - "Enter Chat."

Yea, i had only gone to s4 to check out cube but will try the other servers then. In the forum, they said the cube was dropping them, then quit. Supposedly they fixed the drop rate, but then again who knows.

I always presumed that all the servers where the same now, but guess not.

Anyway, thanks for the hot key note though. Working like a champ now. Probably put that note in my newbie intro speech.

And another thing. At L116, I can do pretty good up to Level 130 mobs. So wonder what the new RK skills are for then. Once I level to say level 130, then the new skills will not be that good as I will be able to take on any mob just with the basic RK skills. So I am no worried about new skills now.
