seting advisor in a guilld?

How do I set guild advisor? Are there some requirements, or something? Why it won't let me to set guild advisor from one of my guildies? Do you find this valuable?

I think your guild needs to be a certain level in order to have advisors. I can't be certain and I am not in a position to check right now. What you can do to check and if this does not work then you need a higher level guild...Press alt+G, click Manage Guild, there will either be 1 tab or a series of tabs on the top of that menu depending on the level of the guild. Select Guild Management. If you are the GM you can scroll through the list of guildmates, highlight the characters name you want to make a GA and on the bottom row of tabs select Set Advisor. It will give a message about making them GM or something to that effect. It doesn't make them GM it just gives them the power to add and remove other members from the guild excluding the other Guild Advisor or the GM. Anyhow I hope that isn't too confusing to understand. Might be a glitch or bug. Try quitting the game and logging back in. You should be able to set advisors at any level now.

You have to be the GM to set advisor status now.

When you selected Advisor, did you forget to press confirm? Also, it will say, Do you wish to select Johnboy as guild master. It is a typo and really should say advisor now. Been like that for ages now.
