Upgrading weapons and armor

Well, I don't know if it's just me, a new patch or just a glitch somewhere, BUT! when I upgrade my armor or weapon to +13, it no longer says, Able to Use Extreme Stone, and no I have not used an extreme stone yet and yes it did say able to use extreme stone when it was +12, so I don't know if anyone else seems to have run into this problem, I will try to get some more items to +13 and see if it still does it and will post back later on.

sounds like a bug to me as you know es can be used up to +14.Yea you got a bug. Probably a bug. Just like when you go to trade and the listing for armor and weapons is STILL missing when you access the hit button. Thanx for the info. But remember every patch, that somewhere out there is a bug. Ok, it was a mental glitch on my part I guess, yesterday after the quiz had 2 lvl 41 eyes of spirit crossbows which I had at plus 14 thanks to extreme stones, then using rop 2, tried for next plus, Of course both failed, one was reset to plus 10 and the other one went back to plus 13. I really, really hate this game, yes it's much wiser paying exuberant amounts to just buy someone else's plus 15, but for once I would like to make my own plus 15 from scratch. Now I have bought armor and weapons that were plus 14 and made them plus 15 with just HS, but I would like to have a weapon or amor with no plus and get it to15, by myself. Come to think of it those that I di make to plus 15, I used only HS without rop's, hmmmm will have to try without rops next time.

Also, because a +15 weapon gives bonuses, you might want to use a master stone on it. If it is a high enough weapon, u will use it for a long enough time to make it worth the stone. So going from +14 to +15 is a nice thing. Additionally, you will have a nice item to sell when you move on to your next weapon.Do you find this valuable? |

Master Stones are rather rare. Personally, I would think to get the item to +15, THEN use a Master Stone on it.I have told a few others to save any Master Stone they get. They suggested since the L135x armor is out now, to save it for when they get to where they can use the armor. At that level, they will have the armor unitil they hit Level 165 as the armor is better then that Level 165 stuff. Check the Mondshine Guide out and look at the armor comparisions I did now. Hea, Sourdough, thought someone had "battered" you to death, LMAO. Remember the xmas event is on. Go to top of directory if you dare. Big prizes, ONLY cuz no one entering lol. Thanks for thinking of me. No, I just made some new email addresses and a new pet trainer and storage units to put all my important things in and keep all toons with just 10 pots and the necessary things to drop farm etc. LC has a bunch of idiots managing who obviously dont play...so it is easy to outwit the paid unprofessional scum sucking, lilly livered thieves. So if a toon gets banned, by the morons, it costs me minimal.Do you find this valuable? |

Additionally, the success rate of upgrading from +14 to +15 is between 5% and 12% depending on whose numbers u believe, so I think getting to +15 to get the additional bonuses is well worth the master stones. Rare they are but guaranteed success. I guess it depends on how bad u need or want that level +15 weapon. I would not do it for armor. nuff said.LC didn't get any of my lvl 100+ toons, just a pet trainer lvl 31 ( made a new one in three hours) with a lot of pet training supplies on him. It is an atrosity but, I will survive and still have fun! Do you find this valuable? |

I was laughing at the so called "Players" on the LC wetpaint site who were giving advice on upgrading. Talk about advice.Yea, like I told others. My site you get the latest info, on strategy and tips on upgrading. There is a method now to upgrading. But a lot of people do not understand. Like never upgrade in town, but in the guild hall is even better. Remember in the good, ole days if you got a black eye, they said to put a cold steak on your eye. Well, it worked. But times change and they found out that a towel with ice in it or a cold pack, will work just as well. It was the coldness that the steak had that was the key. So, being in the guild hall without players and mobs is the key. Or being outside with nothing on the radar helps too. Like the one guy that spent like 100 attempts to upgrade. LOL I find that at times, I can not get past +12. When i fail once I go to another server. 3 times and I stop. I waited till night and in 4 attempts made it to +14. Night time is always good, as a Lot of USA players are asleep and not playing and that helps too. Do you find this valuable? |

Wait a minute were you referring to the guy that said he used up over 150 HS and 150 rop2's and never got his armor/weapon to +15, that not me btw, I'm the one asking if he was serious. You see I go berserk just using up 4 hs and 4 rop2's, and not increasing, lol. Have you seen this one video on you tube, this guy goes from +2 to +9 with just HS and his gear never breaks, I thought it was rigged, still not sure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIwYYj0CkeA lmao, I'm also the guys with 20 accounts but I was just joshing, oops hope I don't get in trouble here.

I understand about the guild hall thing and upgrading. Getting to +15 is a low percentage thing no matter where u are or what time of day or night you make an attempt. I do agree when fewer people are on line, then your odds improve reguardless of where u are and in the Guild Hall is (as far as I have experienced) the best place to be. I have had equal success around the fountain in Juno just moving into the shaded spots and moving just one step. I advocate if u want a guaranteed upgrade from +14 to +15 use a master stone. They are rare but, if u never get to +15 what are u saving them for? Nuff said! Additionally traveler25, I talked to the powers that be at LC and told them I have many accts under different email addresses and never got a negative response from them. Maybe it is they have no way to punish me or no way to track what the accts are but, so far, no repercussions. If they find a way, we better all watch out.

Yeah, I never had great or good luck inside guild hall, except the first time I started playing, lol got my sorcerer event weapon up to +8 using regular smelts, didn't know anything about HS or ROP at the time, after that never had any (better) luck, my favorite upgrade spot is going past the fountain up the stairs for the castle entrance take a right at the doorstep and take a few steps to where there is nothing on my radar, played this morning at 8:00 am CST and used 4 HS, each one succeeded, bought one more and of course it failed but I was very excited with the 4 straight. But after reading 5fingers other post, gonna get my lvl 29 pet trainer up to lvl 31 and make him a templar knight.

The Guild Hall is hit or miss for me. I suspect that going from a newby server to say the #2 or #3 channel/server does help. Quiet and few to No other players in my area helps. Upgrading at 2 in the morning, if u are up helps. Going from +14 to +15 is a tough nut to crack. So, we need all the good carma we can get to not have to start out at +10 again. Good Luck.. As I said, I tell people to read the upgrading section as it has all those tips you have all mentioned.BTW, remember the upgrade events. To me they were good or bad. On a good one, I went to +14 with nothing but HS. Of course, this was after I had gotten that same armor to +14 now. Then that extra i sold. So it can be done. When I upgrade, I need to mention to try to stay away from the S3, S5. amd S6 servers now. In a way, SourdoughJack, that is using an exploit like you pet leveling with a knife in hand, LMAO. But again, you got caught cuz some SUCKUP GS, saw you I bet. lol. But anyway, tell other people to go to STRATEGY GUIDE and read the sections there. FYI, my account got hacked, and lost all my stuff literally. Aeria was able to get all my armor except the L137 cast helm. It was only 10 items. I asked for a roll back and NOTHING. Now they said to send them a list of items I am missing, lol. I always thought they could look at your account, but it seems they can not LOOK at it a week ago from the way they are handling me. So seems Sourdough might get banned, but then get your toon back with nothing back now, lol. FYI, someone named SuzieM, put a hack link on here, Hea I was sleepy just getting up and i was trying to do the ole ban thingie and I guess I hit the link instead. When i saw what i did, i just deleted it and then banned the account and delete the link. But it was too late. Yea, they put porn, medicine, and hack links on here, which i TRY never to click, but just delete and ban. Gonna report to FBI as soon as I get this Aeria thing done. Do you find this valuable? |

OK, just read the STRATEGY GUIDE. I had other people pm on this post and again, I have what you all say on the upgrading techniques.I will have to make another pet trainer, aka Templar. Yes, to all the others, post your answer here so others can read and DON'T pm, lol. Anyway, Yes, you can make any class a pet trainer. BUT the pet trainer is based on defense, so wonder which toon has the most defense at L31. I forgot. Dang, getting old I guess. (Please no comments from the Peanut Gallery). Yea, at one time i could pet train in the jail, then they changed the offense on the doggies, cuz they were hitting me harder all of a sudden. Of course this was not mentioned in the patches either. Now with the xp changes and stuff, I just know things have changed again. One of my favorites is in Dratan too. Except I go up the stairs, take a left, hit the corner, then take a right. The guild hall is still a hit & miss for me like the other sites. All this time and still the Guild Hall and the dratan spots are to me, evened out on upgrading. Just that the GUild Hall is closer to get too. Oh, and for the rest of you. If you are a new player read the intro letter I send out. Also it is at the top of the directory too. And send your comments HERE. Getting PMs is wasted if others can not see what or how you think. I do not know all the answers but good to let others know what you also think. I am high level now, L161, so (cough, cough) kind of lose touch at what is happening at the lower levels. Upgrading with a MS is again a matter of preference & what you got now. I have ap, so I can afford to SAVE mine. I get enough PRS to get my +15. Then if you want +15, remember you can buy a CHEAP uniform for 25 ap & buy just ONE PRS to get a minimum of a +1 to make that item +15. This is more cost effective. But you have to decide what level. Personally, I would wait till you get to L135x set, as it is better then Mondshine armor. Do you find this valuable? |
