FIRST PART

This reply will be long as i plan to post it to the Drop Lists section.

So you want to go and spend time looking for that Monster who drops your favorite piece of BLUE armor or weapon. There are a few things you need to know so you will understand how the Monster Drop System works. There is No shortcut or fast way to get your drops now.

1. First go to the Directory and use one of the sections there to find out where your say favorite L125 blue Knight Gloves will drop. You have to find the Monster and the place to go to kill the Monster. Do not use the search feature as I deleted the links in the Drop Lists, but forgot to delete the actual pages. So if you use the search feature you may be sent to an Obsolete List.

2. Once you have found your Mob and place to go, there are some things you will need to take with you. First, you have to use the Item Drop Booster. You use one IDB for every kill. Then you use your Lucky Spell Book, which lasts for one hour. You all use your Lucky Scroll which last for 10 minutes. These all increase your drop rate. Now what is good to know is you use the 1 hour Lucky Scroll, you can not use the IDB. And supposedly you would get the same % drop rate, but again, I can not say which way is better.

SECOND PART

3. This is the most important is to understand how getting a Blue drop works.

A. You kill a mob until it drops that closed Blue armor or weapon that you want.
B. You will get a golden Magnifying glass to open that blue item up to see what you got.
C. This happens when you open it up, all in a flash.
First, You open it up and then the computer decides if this is 4 seals or 5 seals.
Second. Then the next thing it decides if you will get the 6th for that blue item or not. If you notice like cast helmets you find some with 4 seals and the 6th cast seal on it.
Third. The computer may decide which type of seals you will get - Evasion, Defensive, or Constitution (Fortitude) Armor.

Some bits of information to know about.
The cast seals, are always on the Evasion or Defensive Armor. I have never seen them on Constituion Armor. Remember, what is good today the next patch may change.
All 6th seals of any item may get the -10 level seal.

All Blue armor has a minimum of 4 ordinary seals with a possible 6th bonus seal on it.

Except for Mondshine armor, which may drop blue armor constituion armor at certain spots. Only Blue armor is crafted NOT dropped. This applies for Mondshine armor only.

THIRD PART

Think when you get your drops. I have noticed for whatever reason, that either certain blue types drop at certain places or I am lucky too. But again, this is being lucky. I was in the
Spirit Cave drop hunting on the Mob knight Spirits there. In about two times, there the knights were dropping blue items right and left. The first time this happened I was happy. Then the next time i went to drop hunt on the SAME spot, in one hour, I only got one blue armor dropped the whole time. So again, the Gods are fickle on what you may get. That is why some people swear on certain spots.

Remember, what i said about upgrading with HS on your armor. That at late at night, i found it the most favorable time to upgrade. Now I said, "Most Favorable" not all the time. I have upgraded to +15 at all times, but find that late at night i get the least amount of Failures, which leads to +15 now. Again, you have to kind of get the feel of it. So too with the drops you get. Some guys state that they go for a day or two drop hunting and get that blue armor all they want. Others go and they get nothing.

You have to remember, are those guys drop hunting like 4-10 hour days. I have asked and it seems to me that if you go drop hunt for 3 hours and the other guy drop hunts for 14 hours, I wonder who might get the most BLUE drops. One certain player was spending All his time drop hunting for a certain piece of armor. I told him that if he had spent more time leveling, he could have leveled up where he would have not needed that "Certain Piece of Blue Armor." He thought about this, and guess he saw the light. Seems everyone wants the Cast helmet so bad, they do anything and lose sight of the goal, which is to Level up.

FOURTH PART

This is another tip which the "Other LC Site" will never tell you.

Another aspect of drop hunting is SHOPPING. I try to shop 3 times a day minimum. It took me about 2 months to finally buy a certain Level 157 Prierr Rogue Daggers that I was looking for my Rogue. Got them at a cheap price too. Then another time shortly, I bought a level 156 shirt with double evasion which sold cheap, like 40 million or so. You may find that item you are looking for as the person needs the gold or just selling because he has no use of it. I have found many good deals like that. After I started shopping, I kind of found that a lot of my drop hunting days were over. The people may brag about that Blue Armor with that 6th seal they got, but they do not tell you the time, gold, and items they used to get it. I find at times, that buying that item, I have benefited better then wasting time drop hunting for it. Then it is already upgraded and that costs money as well.

All in all, this about covers all aspects of drop hunting. Oh, You know how some people HAVE TO have those speed boots. Think about it. I got some and hate to say it was not all that. Yea, i run a "little" faster but no great advantage. Those other items with 6th seals like 10% Stone and etc. those are useless as you will find. Again use your mind. What is 10 or 20%, really nothing. Just like have the jewel with 50% regeneration. Those are worthless yet people spend 500 million gold to buy a L5 jewel with 50% regeneration. If you are regenerating in say 50 hp point steps then you now are regenerating in 75 point steps. The mob is usually hitting you at at least 1000 hit points and so the regeneration of 50% is negligible.

FYI, i was having PC problems and lost this info 3 times, so decided to do it here in steps. Had to run 3 virus scans for whatever problem i had, and it seems to have gone away so far.

Hope this helps now.
